Many supervisor/supervisee, customer, and co-worker conflicts are the result not of ill intentions, but of personality style differences. What we often imagine is another person trying to be difficult, is really our inability to adjust our communication to their personality style.
The more skilled we are in recognizing and adjusting to different personality styles, the greater our ability to create productive relationships with a broad spectrum of people. Because it reduces conflict, becoming skilled in this area also reduces the stress and emotional wear and tear we experience on the job.
In this seminar, we will draw from the most popular personality style models used in business - the DISC profile. This model will enable you to recognize your interpersonal blind spots that create unnecessary conflict for you, and what approaches work best with different personality types. This is for supervisors and frontline employees alike.
In this program, you will:
- Develop greater insight into your personality style and how it influences your effectiveness at work, and your ability to bring out the best in others.
- Identify blind spots that have been getting in the way of your becoming more influential, and how to remove these obstacles.
- Learn how to create greater rapport and communicate more effectively with people possessing personality styles very different from your own.
- Reduce tension and negativity often found in teams with people possessing very different styles
Of all the seminars I teach, this is the one that attendees seem to enjoy the most. I think there are several reasons why. First, this topic lends itself to an interactive format, so they get to be actively involved throughout the day. Second, most people like learning about themselves. I mean who is more fascinating to us than ourselves? Third, it helps to remove some of the mystery about why other people act as they do. Since people who are different from us often leave us scratching our head - or grinding our teeth - this information offers useful ideas on how to deal with those people. |
Fee: $129. Early Bird Registration: $99 if registration postmarked by October 6th. $149 at the door.

What Seminar Participants
Say About David Lee: |
| |
“I
David, not only did I find your presentation very clear on concepts and theories, but more importantly, your program includes practical suggestions and multiple workshop handouts that participants can take back to their workplaces to implement those concepts and theories in a practical way”.
-
Don Steig, HRH of Northern New England
"Whenever I attend a seminar, if I leave with
2 or 3 solid items to implement back at our office,
I feel the day has been worthwhile. I left David
Lee's half-day course with more than 20 solid, commonsense,
no-cost items that I am eager to implement…This
half-day course was an excellent use of time."
-
Eric S. Wood, President, EnviroSense, Inc.
"Having seen a lot of
speakers, I can't tell just you how impressed I
was by David. I even waited in line to talk with
him... I learned a great deal and laughed my butt
off in the process... When we have someone who
is so genuine and so well prepared, we owe it to
each other to spread the word.... I take it very
seriously when I recommend someone else's work
and... he's great!"
- Naomi Judd
"Thank you for your seminar
'How To Keep Your Staff Inspired, Energized, And
Passionate About Their Work!' This was powerful information

Why the Low Fee? The fee has been kept low for two reasons. First, it's
to make it easy for you to send more than one manager, because the more
managers who attend, the greater the impact this material will have on
your company. I've also kept the fee low to remove any “barriers
of entry”, as a way to give you a chance to preview my work. At the
risk of stating the obvious… learning the skills and practices that
bring out the best in employees takes more than a half-day seminar. So,
my hope is that you will recognize the impact this material can have on
your company's success, and will want to invest in ongoing management development
and coaching.
